Sightlines presents over 200 photographs from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's collection, unearthing new narratives of influence, innovation, and belonging from the medium’s invention to the present day. The exhibition includes a selection of works made without a camera, probing the question of what constitutes a photograph — including Meghann Riepenhoff's Littoral Drift Nearshore #209, a monumental 63-panel work created in 2015 along the shores of Bainbridge Island.
