Southeast Asian Diaspora Resiliency brings together artists working in multiple disciplines and creative processes that express themes of Southeast Asian diaspora and the resiliency of preserving cultural identity and history. On display are works from Binh Danh's series Xanh, LÀ and Immortality: The Remnants of the Vietnam and American War. In these series, he explores how farming communities adapt in response to the landscapes they encounter and the investigation of his Vietnamese-Cambodian heritage through the collective memory of its wars. He will discuss these works and how they create a dialogue within the exhibition in an artist talk on Wednesday, April 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 am at San Joaquin Delta College.
