Art for Peace and Resilience
FONAREV, New York, NY
September 23-26, 2025
The National Fund for the Reparation of Victims of Sexual Violence Related to Conflicts and Crimes Against Peace and Security of Humanity (FONAREV) has just announced an exhibition opening at the end of September that features artworks by survivors of conflicts in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. The exhibition, Art for Peace and Resilience, is curated by acclaimed Congolese artist Aimé Mpane and aims to present as a space for dialogue and healing where memory and hope intertwine.

"We hope that this initiative will be seen as a tribute to human strength and the resilience of peoples. It reminds us that peace is not built solely through political agreements, but also through the recognition and appreciation of artistic and human voices that carry within them the promise of a better future," states Aimé Mpane.
