Los Angeles-based artist Won Ju Lim investigates liminal spaces through sculpture, installation, light and shadow. Incorporating layered references to early 20th century architecture, literature, and film, Lim’s multi-faceted installations consider the role of memory in our experience of built environments. Castings presents a 15-year survey of the artist's work and features a new large-scale installation comprised of over 200 architectural models and objects. Lim will also premiere her new film similarly titled Casting, inspired by Celeste Albaret’s recounting of writer Marcel Proust’s final years.
