In July 2022, Migrate Art in collaboration with People’s Palace Projects visited the Indigenous communities living in the Amazon who have been deeply affected by deforestation and climate change. To bring light to this devastating reality to those afar, Migrate Art collected ashes from burnt areas and manufactured artist’s kits using the ash to create pigment. A range of contemporary artists, including Andy Goldsworthy, have been invited to create works of art with these materials, with the funds raised from their finished products being donated to these Indigenous communities. The artworks will be auctioned at Christie's on March 9th, 2024.
