    In his 2005 series Immortality: The Remnants of the Vietnam and American War, Danh imprints archival images conflict onto and into the leaves of tropical plants, using the plants’ natural photosynthesizing abilities. The leaves express the continuum of Vietnam and American War, which lives on forever in the Vietnamese landscape.
